OUR EVENTS
‘Working Day’                            
A theme ‘From Plough to Loaf’ is demonstrated and at the end of the day bread is baked and sold on the field. Horses work with a variety of vintage implements and corn is cut and harvested in the traditional way.

There is the opportunity to ‘Have a Go’ under the guidance of an experienced horseman. For the younger generation a ‘Young Handlers Competition’ is held.
 
Increasingly popular is a demonstration by ridden heavy horses.
 
Ploughing Match’          
This will be held on 26 October, 2008, at Netherexe Barton,  Netherexe, Exeter, EX5 4DZ., by kind permission of Mr Ross May.
 
Ploughmen compete in several classes (Oat Seed/General Purpose/Cut).  At the end of the day there is a presentation of Society trophies.
